Oh school, how you absorb all that is me.
I love my photojournalism class (my instructor is John Ulan of Epic Photography). I haven’t really done anything too amazing, but check out one of my favourite shots here. I have another one with these two lovely models (har har) but am too lazy to put them on DA. They’re on Fbook anyway.
Speaking of Facebook, I came up with my story pitch idea…. how distracting social media is. I got the idea, of course, when I was on Facebook instead of doing my homework. Shame shame.
Other than that, not too much is new. My stress levels are somewhat calm, which scares me. Reading week is coming up and I can’t wait – although I have no plans at all. Just time to chill, sleep and work. Yipee!
PS – my acupuncture story hit the CUP wire! It’s off there now, but it was there! haha this probably isn’t that big of a deal, but I’m still happy.
I auditioned for the Vagina Monologues on Monday… and I got in! Yippee! The monologue I am doing is called the Flood. I play a 72-year-old woman who isn’t very happy to have someone trying to interview her about her “down-there”. I am so excited for rehersals to start! Everyone who I met at the auditions are so awesome, and the play itself is so empowering.
TVM will be playing on Feb. 6 @ 7pm at the Harr, the theatre at Centre for the Arts. Tickets are $10, and the proceeds go to the women of the Republic of the Congo and Prostitution Awarness in Edmonton. If you are in the city then I hope to see you there!
That’s all….

New Years Resolutions, broken things and vaginas.
It’s back to school time kids! I kicked ass on my finals (well, I dunno about that English midterm…. we shall see. Hmmmm) and I went home and ate and did nothing as long as I could stand it. The whole familia was over, including Greg and Meredith and their dog Fortress. And then New Years came and went, and now that it’s 2009, I can’t believe how much I have changed in the last year. Case in point – my hair!
Jan. 2008 - This didn't last very long, to the dismay of my dad.

April 2008 - It's getting shorter!

May 2008 - Even shorter!

Dec. 2008 - This is probably the shortest my hair has been since I was 14.
It’s actually probably even shorter now than in that last picture. I kind of miss my long hair. It was nice to be able to just throw it up into a ponytail. Now I actually have to do it. Oh well, I really like my hair how it is. I’m sure I’ll grow it out again – I swore to myself that I’d never cut it short again, and look what I did!
In other news, I’m back in Edmonton and am going to class in an hour or so, but it’s English. Still, I’m happy to see my friends. I can’t wait to start my new classes (even though I have 3 8am classes – Monday, Thursday, Friday).
I should probably try to finish Surfacing…
This was a weird post.
